James Alderson has just been voted "Best Comedy Act 2015" by the WOW247 Awards and was voted "Best Comedian 2014" by The Guide Awards, and 2016 just gets better and better! As well as supporting Jo Brand, James recently filmed a new Sky Christmas comedy show, which aired in December 2015 in the US and will be aired in the UK in Christmas 2016.
James has an effervescent and exuberant style. He draws on his life experiences as a man to feed his routines. He's been described by many as an 'everyman comedian'. Women laugh at his hilarious observations and self-depricating style, and men laugh with him, feeling his pain and his frustrations....you rarely know where James will go with his comedic tales and punchlines, but he always takes the crowd with him, laughing all the way....
"James sets the room alight like a pyromaniac in a fireworks shop!"
"James is one of the most original and fun MCs I've worked with!"
"Insightful and humorous observations."
Tom Toal is a comedian, writer and actor, hailing from the South East London town of Bexleyheath. One of comedy's rising stars he performed his debut show On The Scrapheap about the break-up of his 6 year relationship at the Edinburgh and Leicester Festivals in 2010 achieving widespread acclaim and reviews.
The follow up Rom-Coms and Revolutions followed in similar vein playing to a complete sell out audience for the full run. In 2013 Tom Toal performed at The Comedy Reserve with The Pleasance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and in 2014 TT became an Amused Moose Best Comedy Show finalist for his solo Edinburgh Festival Fringe show, Prequel. In March 2017, he opened gigs for Rob Brydon for some of Rob's tour across the country. One of Tom's major strengths is his ability to adapt to his audience. Having hosted a range of events from Post Rock Bands album launch to benefit nights for the Socialist Workers Party, Tom has no trouble changing his style to suit the audience, whether it be Stag/Hen weekends, art centre events or corporate crowds.
“Tom Toal captivates his audience with a unique brand of narrative comedy, that is as delightful to listen to as it is superbly funny.” Punchline Recommends
“Sincere schoolboy nostalgia & great audience interaction.” Fringe Biscuit
