"Paddy Lennox, who not only does a great job rousing the audience but whose gentle Irish lilt belies a mischievous sense of humour. Comedy the way it should be: a laugh-a-minute which leaves the audience wishing the show was just a little bit longer."

Robert White

Robert White is the only gay, Aspergic, quarter-Welsh comic on the British comedy scene. Known for his brilliant timing and performance style, Robert’s chaotic stage presence, improvisational skills and delivery won him the 2010 Malcolm Hardy Award for Comic Originality. And in the same year, he wrote one of Dave’s Top Ten Jokes of The Fringe.

He is arguably best known as coming second in ITV’s highest rated show, Britain’s Got Talent, in 2018. More recently he has done tour support at The Hammersmith Apollo, Wembley, as well as being a sought-after headliner at London's top clubs including The Top Secret Comedy Club.

The quirky comic sailed through his first audition, after his offbeat humour and fantastically rude song about the judges brought a standing ovation. Despite the barbs, they all loved it and unanimously voted him through to the next stage. However, Robert stepped it up a notch in his semi-final performance – poking fun at himself and his sexuality before performing an even ruder song about the panel.

His performances throughout were typically chaotic, but hilarious. Robert’s incredible stage presence and fast-paced comedy routines won over the judges and voting public, at every stage of the show.

Since he first came onto the stand-up scene, as a finalist in the prestigious Hackney Empire Competition, Robert has gone from strength to strength.

He is now a sought-after act who regularly performs across the country and internationally. His off the wall jokes, improvisatory songs, barely-believable stories and interactive music stand him far apart from the usual comedy available nationwide.

A regular at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe since 2010, his shows regularly impress critics and audiences alike. Robert brought his brilliant comedy-opera InstruMENTAL to Edinburgh in 2017, astounding audiences with the show's hilarious lyricism and musical ingenuity. Due to huge demand to return after the BGT finals in 2018, he performed for just three nights in Edinburgh with his show 'Robert White and his Particularly Silly Organ' at the Pleasance.

Robert is just finishing on a follow up tour ‘The Tank Top Tour 2’ in 2021 after bringing all the fun he showed on the TV, live across 31 venues, on his debut UK tour 'The Tank Top Tour' in 2019, with a suitcase full of his trademark vests. ‘Tank Top Tour’ is available to stream on NextUp.

“Robert White killed it…matching an amazing presence to clever jokes and pitch-perfect delivery’ ’Just brilliant.”

Chortle

“Get him on Shooting Stars - Robert White’s show is a jaw-dropping riot…the mix of lewd innuendo, cheesy jokes, music hall songs played on a knackered keyboard and sound-effects games makes for a side-splitting hour.”

The List

“Delivering a mixture of stand up, songs, props and audience interaction, Robert White tries hard - and spectacularly succeeds…never seems to fail to provoke laughter”

"You are so funny.. there’s a real chance you could win this - even at our expense! You're very unique, you're very quirky, very funny, very naughty, Robert, which we like! You are bloody hilarious"
